Why should you attend?

In today’s healthcare environment, it is no longer a case of “if” a HIPAA breach will occur, but “when” the HIPAA breach occurs.  Healthcare organizations and their supporting companies need to know what to do when a breach occurs.   HIPAA penalties for breaches directly relate to the organization’s care and preparation in preventing these breaches as well as the diligence with which the organization responds when the breach happens.   How a healthcare organization responds to a breach will provide the investigating body with evidence that the organization takes HIPAA compliance seriously and is taking all appropriate actions to mitigate the damage from the breach and to comply with breach reporting requirements.
