Overview of the webinar

Employee burnout has reached a tipping point in recent years, so much so that the World Health Organization has even listed it as an “occupational phenomenon.” Workplace stress is responsible for nearly $190 billion in corporate spending— roughly 8% of national healthcare outlays — and almost 120,000 deaths every year. According to the American Psychological Association, burned-out employees are 2.6 times as likely to actively seek a different job; 63% more likely to call in sick; and 23% more likely to visit the ER. Given those stats, it’s no surprise that companies who do not offer systems to support their employees’ well-being experience higher turnover, lower productivity, and higher healthcare costs than those who do.

Burnout results not only in quantifiable numbers like health care costs, but also in effects that cannot be quantified: loss of productivity, creativity, potential, and personal wellbeing.Given today’s turbulent work environments, employees and leaders need services to help them manage, prevent, and treat burnout. Sonia Satra’s interactive presentation will give you the facts, stats, and tools you need to know to understand this pervasive issue, sending yout off with a complete toolbox of how to help both yourself and your employees.

Why should you attend?

Leadership burnout is one of the biggest threats to business success – not mention personal wellbeing – today. In our culture of rampant stress, unclear work-life boundaries, and fierce competition, it’s getting more and more difficult for leaders to fend off feelings of overwhelm, exhaustion, decision fatigue, and stress.

The problem of burnout has only grown more magnified in the wake of COVID-19. A recent survey found that 75% of American workers have experienced burnout, and 40% of that group reported that their burnout was a direct result of the pandemic. Clearly, burnout is a pervasive issue that must be addressed in order for leaders, their teams, and their companies to succeed. Fortunately, there are ways to prevent and treat even the most extreme cases of burnout. In her high-content presentation, Sonia Satra breaks down the root causes of this phenomenon, giving you a clear understanding of the issue, and providing scientifically backed, tried-and-true techniques for overcoming it.

When you begin to address the problem of leadership burnout, you start a ripple effect throughout your work environment. You create a culture that’s more conducive to fresh, new ideas; innovative problem-solving; and smart, inspired decision-making. You put in place the conditions necessary to a growth-centered, successful company. And you help everyone who works there, at all levels of the business, elevate their performance.

This session will show you how.
