Overview of the webinar

Many subtleties exist in the law that apply to the application of HSAs, HRAs and FSAs of which employers must be aware. As the percentage of employers using these tax-favorable vehicles increases on a yearly basis, in light of increasing health care costs and impending health care legislation, employers must understand not only how these tax-favorable vehicles operate, but how they would benefit their organization as a whole.

Why should you attend?

With rising healthcare costs and concerns about healthcare quality, consumer-directed healthcare has become increasingly popular in the past 10 years. To help curb health plan expenses, many employers offer high-deductible health plans that are paired with tax-preferred savings vehicles to help pay for certain cost-sharing and out of pocket costs. Health savings accounts (HSAs) and health reimbursement accounts (HRAs) are commonly used for this purpose. Flexible spending accounts (FSAs) are set up through the employer’s cafeteria plans and allow employees to pay for their share of cost-sharing and out of pocket costs on a pre-tax basis.
