No crystal ball or tarot cards will be used in the making of predictions covered in this program. This webinar will provide results obtained by surveying experts in a variety of fields and disciplines. Each potential regulatory change will be weighed for probability and size of its effect. Compliance areas that are targeted for drastic changes include Affordable Care Act.
President Trump, like most Republicans, wants to repeal Obamacare but he hasn't said what will happen to the 20 million people who will likely lose their insurance if that happens. Trump wants to expand the use of health savings accounts, which allow people to save money tax-free to pay for health care costs. Obamacare subsidies would be phased out to smooth the transition to new insurance policies. He also favors allowing insurance companies to sell policies across state lines which will cut costs. If these changes happen, what will be the impact on your employee population?
Affirmative Action
Even after whoever is nominated to the Supreme Court is confirmed and seated, the court is unlikely to reverse, Fisher vs. The University of Texas at Austin, which upheld affirmative action programs in colleges as the same justices who made up the majority in deciding this case are still on the court. Trump will be replacing one conservative (Scalia) with another. However, if and when a second Justice is appointed, you can expect the Court to be more inclined to move to the right on Affirmative Action. How much? How soon? And how it will change employment practices?
Banking and Financial Regulations

His objective will be to disrupt the financial flow to terrorist groups and other criminals. What changes are likely and how will you comply?
Environmental Regulations
"I will cancel job-killing restrictions on the production of American energy – including shale energy and clean coal – creating many millions of high-paying jobs," President-Elect Trump said as part of an agenda for his first 100 days. However, he seems to be backing off his plan to eliminate the EPA. How will changes in environmental regulation impact your business?
Imported Products
Will President Trump impose tariffs of 35% on Mexican imports and 45% on Chinese imports to protect American jobs? Given that China supplies about 70% of the world's network equipment, cell phones, laptops and tablet computers, will price increases and/or reduced availability affect your ability to maintain and upgrade technology?
Immigration: Legal and Illegal
A posting on donaldjtrump.com states the new President will “Establish new immigration controls to boost wages and to ensure that open jobs are offered to American workers first.” What can realistically be expected and how can you be ready? During the campaign, the incoming President said, “I know the H-1B very well. We shouldn’t have it, it’s very, very bad for workers. It’s unfair to our workers and we should end it.” How likely is he to eliminate or restrict H-1B visa?

Offshore Outsourced Services

Workplace Safety
Newly imposed rules related to walking-working surfaces and fall protection, and rules requiring more thorough reporting of workplace injuries could be stopped or weakened by the incoming administration. The American Federation of Labor and Congress of Industrial Organizations (AFL-CIO) expects the Trump administration “will use the full range of its executive authority to reverse, weaken or appeal any of the major rules that have come out of the agencies.” What changes are coming to your workplace and how can you be prepared?
