Overview of the webinar

People skills and the inability to relate well to others is often the main cause for smart people to be terminated from their companies. People skills and the ability to relate well is cause for celebration since it makes such an enormous difference in how people respond to their leaders. This session will provide a brief overview of the field of emotional intelligence and it will provide participants with an introduction to the Emotion Roadmap, a process that helps leaders at every level learn to be better, more understanding, and more effective. Research shows when people FEEL respected, trusted, inspired, empowered, accountable and responsible they perform at very high levels. However, it is not simple to lead others in this way. Most of the training and development of leaders comes in “on the job training” where they are taught to model others who lead them. The results are not always what we hope for… In fact when smart people are stuck it is almost always because something emotional is going on, inside them, or with the people they are dealing with. Helping leaders deal more effectively with their own and others emotions helps them to become inspirational leaders.
This is the goal of the Emotion Roadmap. Learn about it in this webinar.
