Overview of the webinar

As salary increase budgets remain tight, many companies are continuing to refine their performance evaluation processes to ensure that high performers are rewarded and retained. This session will focus on how to train managers of your company in the identification of key accountabilities (i.e. job tasks) and competencies (i.e., behaviors) for positions they supervise. As part of this session we will provide examples of how other companies have identified quantifiable goals for common positions in your industry. In addition, we will provide information on how to properly utilize a performance evaluation form, how to keep the form simple, and to recognize and avoid common rating errors. Our goal is to provide information to make the evaluation process more effective, easier to administer, and provide examples of how your Company can link the performance review to salary increases and/or incentive payouts.

Mr. Michael Blanchard is the CEO of Blanchard Consulting Group. He has extensive experience in the human resources field and has conducted or supported over 500 compensation planning, market research, and organizational development projects over the past fifteen years, with over twelve years specific to the banking industry. Before founding Blanchard Consulting Group, Mr. Blanchard was a Founder and Partner for Blanchard Chase, Managing Director with Amalfi Consulting, a Vice President for Clark Consulting, and worked for two national firms, both specializing in decision support consultation for management and board clients. With graduate studies in advanced industrial and organizational psychology, Mr. Blanchard’s experience includes advising clients on compensation planning, performance appraisals, and management development.
